Kevin Zraly Joins The Williamsburg Winery to Launch our 2007 Adagio at Patsy's Restaurant in Manhattan- January, 2010
Celebrated wine educator Kevin Zraly of the Windows on the World Wine School joined Williamsburg Winery President, Patrick Duffeler, and Patsy's Executive Chef, Sal Scognamillo for the official launch of winemaker Matthew Meyer's remarkable 2007 Adagio.
Kevin, Sal and Matthew joined together for an informal discussion on wine, food and how winemakers and chefs come together to pair their creations in ways that expose the complimentary nuances of each other's products. It was a fascinating inside look provided by two of the best artisans from their craft. Our 2007 Adagio was limited to 123 cases this year, and with mild regrets (and some euphoria...), the inventory was 'sold out' as of mid-November.
The 2008 Adagio was presented at a special New Years Eve event in front of 85 people with great celebration, dancing and music. Thus far the 2008 Adagio has won a Silver medal at the Virginia Governor's Cup and Grand Harvest Awards.
