Over his career, the European-born winery owner had cause to travel extensively throughout the continent, compiling a volume of careful notes from his stays in Country Hotels.

Evidence of the accuracy of those observations are to be seen throughout the construction and fitments of Wedmore Place, always favoring authenticity over expediency. Each of the 28 rooms in Wedmore Place is themed to a unique region in Europe. Furnishings throughout the hotel have been sourced from Europe, and create a warm and welcoming ambiance reflective of the culture and history of each region. Each and every room will magically transport our guests to Tuscany, Scandinavia, Bavaria, or perhaps you would prefer Venice?

In every room in the hotel, you will find operating wood-burning fireplaces. Visit the authentic English-style library, sidle-up to the fireplace with a flute of our Wedmore Place Cremant and delight in our collection of books in English, Spanish, French and German. Before dinner, you might spend time at the poolside Wiley Minstrel Lounge.  Later, no stay at Wedmore Place is ever complete without time spent with Chef Tim Westby-Gibson in the fabulous Cafe Provencal restaurant which serves both breakfast and dinner.
